“MONGOLIA-KOREAN START-UP HUB” TO BE ESTABLISHED
Under the auspices of the President of Mongolia, Ms. Battulga Khaltmaa, the Young Entrepreneurs Conference (YEC) will provide policy support to create a business-friendly environment for start-ups and entrepreneurs. It was established to operate in the country.
In this context, in order to support young start-ups and young entrepreneurs from February 2020, YEC in cooperation with the Capital City Governor's Office, the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and the Korean Institute for Start-up Entrepreneurship Development (KISED) Business Support Center ”. Subsequently, on July 8, 2020, the Government of the Republic of Korea issued an official statement announcing the selection of a project to establish a “Mongolia-Korea Startup Support Center”.
This project is the State Innovation Policy approved by the Government of Mongolia and the National Innovation System Development Program; It is important for the implementation of policy documents such as the guidelines for economic and social development of the capital city in 2020.
Within the framework of the project:
- Entrepreneurship education in the context of providing knowledge to support startups and introducing relevant educational programs in Mongolia; joint development of accelerators, innovative human resources and start-ups by a team of Mongolian and Korean experts,
- Exchange of knowledge, information and best practices in improving the Mongolian-Korean business environment and connecting businessmen of the two countries; to develop innovative products and increase their working capital; Implement activities to expand cooperation between start-up businesses.
This will create a healthy start-up ecosystem in Mongolia, create a friendly legal environment, and ensure the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Mongolia's long-term development policy.
